Christmas Presents
The children got to open their presents on the last day of school before the Christmas holidays. This has become a tradition as then they have something to play with during their vacation. The kids were spoiled but were very thankful for what they received (to the point that a couple of them had tears in their eyes :)
Bethany and Naomi checking out what's in their stockings - they're starting to realize that every year it's the same; chocolate letter, Lifesaver Book, orange and candy cane. This is the only tradition we have carried on from Sinterklaas.
Anna admiring all the Lifesaver rolls.
Colin helping Silas with his stocking.
Even Eden got a chocolate letter :)
All the kids picked names with each other and had to buy one item at the school bazaar. Each item was less than $3 but it's the thought that counts. Bethany had Eden's name and bought here a toy to attach to her highchair.
Naomi had Silas's name. She bought him a Jenga game.
Anna had Naomi's name. She bought her a snowman snowglobe.
Eden had Bethany's name. She bought her a castle set.
Silas had Anna's name. He bought her a metal frame bed that is the perfect size for her American Girl.
Silas with his Lightening McQueen puzzle. (A lot of presents were not brand new, but the kids don't know the difference :)
Naomi opening up her own American Girl whom she has named Kit. Some certain cousins passed on their dolls (and lots of accessories) to Naomi and Bethany to enjoy for many more years. Both girls were extremely pleased with this gift and have been playing with them every since. (Thanks so much S.D. for this great gift for the girls!)
Bethany with her doll whom she has named Molly.
Anna was the recipient of the soccer outfit for her American Girl. She has been wishing for that for a couple of years.
Eden was spoiled with Sophie the Giraffe, which she put to good use right away.
Checking out all the doll accessories...
Silas with his kid binoculars.
Silas's big present was a steel Tonka loader that he can use in the sandbox in the summer.
Anna with Amber in her soccer outfit.

I love the looks on the girls faces!! Those dolls are going to get a lot of use at your house.
I am impressed with your kids $3 gifts - great bazaar finds!

Looks good! We also got a lot of used stuff this year...everything was in perfect condition and looked as good as new, so what difference does it make? :O)
How fun! The kids all look VERY pleased with their great gifts!
Read this yesterday but didn't have the finger strength to respond. The kids did certainly get spoiled with all their great gifts. I'm sure the girls willl have years of fun with their dolls espcially when they each have one that they can play together with.
Silas needs his 'manly' toys with all them girls around !I', also impressed with the bazaar finds ! good job kids.
Sofie ! seems like everyone has one of those, never saw them until a few weeks ago and now I see them everywhere:o)
