Home Again

Well, the trip to Grandma's house was a big hit (it always is)! The girls had lots of fun playing with scooters, going for bike rides with Grandpa and visiting a splash pad to cool down. I got quite a bit of shopping done and enjoyed spending quality time with my mom. The last time we had gone overnight to their house was during the March Break so it really seems special when we make the trip to London.
On Saturday, Anna had a friend over for a sleepover as her parents had to go to a wedding for the day and wouldn't be back till late. This is also a rare occurrence (only the third time) so it was a very fun afternoon and evening for the girls.
Bethany is still doing so well at toilet training. She does both number one and twos on the potty or toilet and will go anywhere, which was so handy when we were out and about in London. The only thing yet to accomplish is to stay dry at night, the other girls did it by themselves once they were trained during the day. Hopefully, Bethany will be wearing underwear at night too!
Today I've been doing some more sewing, this time pillow covers for my living room couch pillows. I've had some really funky material that I picked up at the thrift store a while ago and now finally figured I'd better do something with it. The bassinette bedding is almost done but the tedious job of making my own cording for the quilt still needs to finished. (Pictures will follow of the finished product in due time.) The weather today, cool and windy, is perfect for staying inside and finishing some of my projects.
Now it's off to get the girls some hot chocolate and popcorn, which reminds them of skating as that's our usual treat after spending some time at the arena.
