Persistence and Kindness
Naomi has finally learned to ride a two wheeler. We hadn't really pushed her all summer as she would just put up a fuss when we wanted to take the training wheels off. She's the kind of girl that learns to do things when she feels ready. We took the training wheels off last week at her request and all on her own she learned to ride without them. I tried to help her but that only made things worse. For two days straight she practiced up and down the sidewalk until she taught her self. Needless to say, I was quite impressed with her persistence to stick with it until she had learned. Now she is very eager to show everybody that she can ride a two wheeler. Below is a sideways video of her newly acquired skill.
As for kindness, a friend of mine from church put a meal in my car after Bible Study this week. She figured it's always nice to have a meal before the baby comes as you don't always feel like cooking when you're so tired. What a nice gesture! It was such a big meal that we had part of it for our supper this week and I froze the other half. Hopefully, I'll have some time yet to make a few meals myself to put in the freezer. It's always nice to not have to cook for the first few weeks after the baby arrives.
