Overview

I know it's high time for another post but as I've mentioned in previous posts, the longer you leave it, the harder it is to get back into it. It doesn't help that this past month was so full of activity that it would take a dozen posts to get everyone back up to speed. So, I've decided to do a picture blog in chronological order; but be warned, there are a lot of pictures!

I volunteered in Naomi's class for an afternoon to help with their senses unit. It was so fun to see the kids interact with each other.

Bethany doing an excellent job of vacuuming her room (even I don't get that picky :)

The 'B' family day was on Saturday, December 12th (at our house) and it was perfect weather for the kids to spend time outside. Here Uncle Bernard and Colin are showing the kids how to make a real igloo.

The finished product.

All the helpers (and onlookers).

Checking out the inside - Anna, Lucas and Silas.

The adults staying warm inside.

Diane and my sister-in-law Eileen.

Mom and Pops.

A very busy household.

The whole gang (except for my nephew Greg) making 36 altogether.

We opened our family gifts on the last day of school and the kids were so excited. They each got a toy and a couple of books.

Silas having fun ripping his present open.

Naomi with her books - so proud that she can read them.

Anna with her two books.

Taking turns to watch each other open gifts.

Colin admiring his chainsaw chaps. Now I won't have to worry that he'll cut off his leg when he's out cutting our firewood.

A nice picture of Naomi having fun outside.

Anna trying on the snowmobile helmet for size - too big!

Alex and Sarah and kids came to visit for a couple of days during the Christmas holidays and it was nice to get to know Lucas and Dylan a little better. We found out that Lucas wasn't too thrilled with the snowmobile :) (Time for them to move to the country :)

Anna and Aunt Sarah playing a duet on the piano.

On Chandra's birthday we all got together to celebrate and enjoy an 'M' family day. Lots of fun was had by all!

Stuffing our faces again.

That's all we did during the holidays was eat (but the food was so yummy!)

Christmas Day was spent at my parents with Brian and Tonya and their kids and my sister Diane. Grandma has a great babysitter called a TV.

Mom busy preparing the big meal in her nice new kitchen.

Relaxing in their living room.

For New Year's Eve, we had my cousin Maria and husband Dave and family over and they stayed the night. We had a lot of fun playing games and socializing and we didn't even get to bed that late - we must be getting old... Here Silas is trying to get his friend Owen to smile for the camera.

Bethany had lots of fun playing with Avery.

New Year's Day we woke up to a few centimeters of fresh snow - perfect for snowmobiling around the yard and neighbouring fields.

It was quite cold out but even us ladies braved the weather to get some exercise. Here Maria is trying to keep 'Junior' warm under her coat :)

Bethany all decked out to get pulled behind the snowmobile on the GT. The goggles sure helped to keep the wind and snow out of her eyes.

Dave with his nice machine - it sure has more power than my brother's!

Well, I'm sure your coffee/tea is either cold or gone, so I'll leave it at this for now!
