Good Friday
This year our school did an Easter program (they alternate every year between Christmas and Easter programs) on Thursday evening. The girls were very excited to perform their well rehearsed songs and wear some new Spring clothes. There were 265 children (k-8) participating, so it was quite the production to fit children and audience into our gym. We made it work, though, and although you might not be able to see your child very well, you will have no problem hearing the wonderful singing.
(I have kept these images large so that you might be able to spot Anna and Naomi.)
Do you see Naomi, front and center?
Do you see Anna, far left, third from the end on the first tall row?
The whole school.
The next morning we went to church first before heading up to Owen Sound to spend the day with my side of the family. We had summer-like temperatures (28 degrees) for the day which made it a wonderful day to spend outside. This was the first time in ten years that Colin was able to take Good Friday off. (Tax time is not friendly to Easter Weekend :) Brian and Tonya were our gracious hosts this time and we enjoyed a yummy meal after going for a small hike. Owen Sound is such a beautiful area and we can never go there without seeing the bay. This time we went to an area that had a playground and a small beach.
First off are some pictures of Colin and the kids before church on Friday.
Two handsome men.
Cutie Bethany.
Cheery Naomi.
Little-lady Anna.
On the hike by a small creek. Water is always a big attraction for kids! Naomi and cousins Owen and Hannah.
Anna and cousin Leah.
At the small beach in the town of Owen Sound. Colin showing Silas (or Silas showing Colin?) how to throw rocks into the water.
Looking towards the town and a big freight boat in the harbour.
Bethany having fun at the playground.
Silas and Bethany enjoying a teeter totter ride with Aunt Diane.
Silas on the swing with the youngest B grandchild, Elise (with cousin Erin in the background).
