First Snow!

We went from a gorgeous sunny weekend to our first snow in less than a week. This afternoon we had white out conditions on the roads and our grass actually turned white. The kids are so excited the first time it snows and Naomi asked this afternoon if she could go sledding. She must take after me and my love of winter.
We had a wonderful weekend doing a variety of things. On Saturday we witnessed the marriage ceremony of John and Debra and enjoyed their reception. Sunday was spent enjoying Lord's Supper, the sermons and the communion of saints. After church we went for a nice hike in a nearby woods. The ground was blanketed with leaves and the children had a lot of fun 'wading' through them. I took a lot of nice pictures, at least I hope their nice as they haven't been developed yet, so you'll have to wait to see them. On Monday we drove up to Chandra and Pete's so we could enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with Grandpa and Grandma M., who were flying into Hamilton from Winnipeg. Colin and I took all the kids (except the babies) to watch Grandpa and Grandma's plane come in and greet them at the airport. After having our meal together, they left to go cottaging with Chandra and Pete and we headed home via the "way of Philadelphia". That means we took the long way home. We quite enjoyed our drive and stopped at a park on the way so the kids could run off some energy.
On Tuesday night we drove to London because Colin had a course the next day. This was really nice for me and the kids as I could visit with my parents and they could see their other Grandpa and Grandma. We spent Wednesday playing and doing some shopping.
Today Anna went to school and came home with a homemade mini apple pie. She had to bring an apple to school and it was a surprise as to what they were going to do with them. She was very proud that she made it all by herself! Naomi has been looking like Franklin the turtle all day because I bought her a costume at the Thrift store this morning. She looks so cute! Bethany napped all afternoon trying to catch up on lost sleep. It made for the first quiet afternoon in a long time!
