Family Ski Trip

So, we went on our first ever ski trip with the kids and we had a blast! We left at 3 am Monday morning and drove to Smugglers' Notch, Vermont where we stayed for four days. It was really nice getting the jump on driving by getting up so early on Monday. It made the trip seem so much shorter. As it was it took us 11 hours to get there with stops for breakfast, the border, and grabbing a few groceries. We had a one bedroom condo which had great access to the lifts and the main village. We were very much impressed with this resort as it had service for families down to an art. Everywhere we went we saw little kids and families enjoying themselves. It helped that besides the great ski program for kids, there was a pool, funzone (with bouncy castles and other various jumpy things) and snow tubing at night. We had great weather the whole time and Colin and I enjoyed some great powder on the second day. We were also pleasantly surprised with the height of the hill, about 2600 feet of vertical. Needless to say we got a pretty good workout! The kids loved their program as well; the instructers were great and knew exactly how much the kids could handle. Anna and Naomi even skied some green runs and felt very proud of themselves. Bethany spent her days at Treasures, a state of the art daycare center. They cared for her like one of their own and she had fun doing crafts, blowing bubbles and playing with the toys.
