Anna's Birthday

Yesterday was Anna's 6th birthday and although she had school that day we still had a party for her at night. She was very excited to take treats to school to share with her class and to go around to all the other classrooms and collect presents. She now has her fair share of bookmarks, pencils and erasers! We are having a friends party for her on Saturday at another girl's house who celebrated her birthday on Sunday. We're keeping it low key by only inviting the girls' church friends (I don't even know most of her school friends) for a few hours of fun in the morning. Now it seems like we'll be celebrating her birthday all week!

Anna's favourite sport made into a cake. Anna and Naomi are both signed up for Tim Horton's Timbit soccer so this cake was a big hit.

Anna receieved a flat screen Lite-Brite from Grandpa and Grandma 'far away' that she was just thrilled with. Now if only she can keep the pegs away from Bethany and Genevieve.

From us, Anna received a Bible and a Bible case/cover. We plan to make this a sixth birthday tradition. She is already reading verses out of the Bible at supper time and following along. She also loves participating in church in any way she can so we thought that this would make a very appropriate gift. She's just growing up way too fast!


And finally, here's a picture of Bethany's room with the furniture all back in place. As you will notice there's one piece of furniture that has been focused on here in this picture. Yes, I recently acquired a wooden baby basinette that will be put to good use late October (Oct. 26th) for our new addition. We are very excited to be blessed with another new life and pray that all will go well in the next six months. I'm feeling very well but quite tired at the end of the day. I guess it would help if I didn't go nuts with painting a room!
