Snow Day!

Today we welcomed the first official snow day from school. Anna was quite excited this morning to learn that there was no school and of course couldn't fall back asleep. It's kind of nice having a snow day though, as it gives the girls a chance to play altogether for the day. There's actually not that much snow out but I guess the forecast is calling for a lot more snow today. We also got some freezing rain which probably also made the roads pretty slick. The first real snowfall of the year is always so exciting and makes me want to get out there and do some tobogganing. We'll have to wait till there's a little more than this :




Here's a picture of the girls playing with the train set in their bedroom upstairs. An indoor day is kind of fun as they play with toys they haven't played with for awhile. Anna was quite proud that she designed this track all by herself, she almost used every piece of track.
