Might as well think 'Summer'

The snow has continued to fall and we were feeling a little housebound, so we braved the conditions and went swimming. Seeing as we're used to driving in bad snow conditions and have winter tires on our van, we felt confident to give it a go. The pool was empty and the kids had a blast. It was a great way to end our day of shoveling and playing in the snow. The warm pool is a nice way to relax sore and aching muscles :) We had never taken Silas swimming before and we usually try to introduce the kids to swimming early. He loved this new experience and was completely relaxed floating on his back. Naomi was very proud to wear her new swimsuit that she picked out with money she received from Grandma M. for her birthday. The only problem was that when we came home there was another 10 cm of snow that needed to be shoveled again. I think a hot bath will have to do this time!

I think we can make it to the pool! (pictures taken out of our van window)

That is a lot of snow. It's been melting here for the past couple of weeks. I don't dare think spring is here yet though!
What a neat treat to go to the swimming pool, we love swimming too and are eager for summer to arrive so we can fill up our pool again! It's not warm though, the water comes from the well and takes a bit to warm up :-)
