Anna's Birthday
In the midst of a very busy week, Anna celebrated her 7th birthday on May 1st. Her birthday just didn't seem to be so exciting because she had school all day and an Ascension service at night. All the same, I tried to make it special by making her a Care Bear cake and having her favourite food for supper - chicken fingers and fries. She was very happy with her presents from us: a new outfit, a French knitting kit, a bucket of beads and a pack of gum! She didn't have a birthday party with friends yet, as this past weekend was my parents' 45th wedding anniversary celebration. (Another post will come with those details.) The plan is to have a party this Saturday and go to Kidzone (the indoor playground that Naomi went to on her birthday) with three of her friends from church. She's really looking forward to that!
Opening her French knitting kit (that's the old fashioned spool knitting).
Quite thrilled about her new clothes!
We started a new tradition of giving the girls gum only on their birthdays. They really like to have ours but I'm not having them chew it for two minutes and then spit it out because it's too strong. That and their age they don't need to be smacking their lips all the time :)
