Family Reunion
On Saturday we held a family barbecue to celebrate my parent's anniversary which was on May 3rd. Bernard and Trish were our host's this year as they had recently moved to a bigger house. They now live on a twenty acre property (before they had 40 acres but mostly bush) that is closer to church and school and still has lots of room for the kids to roam. We had great weather and everyone was able to come, including a surprise visit from Brian, Tonya and baby Josette. We were the only ones who knew they were coming so it was quite the surprise for everyone else when they drove up. The kids had a lot of fun playing with their many cousins and enjoyed the hay ride from Uncle Bernard. It was made extra fun because we stayed overnight in Bernard and Trish's trailer. This gave us an enjoyable evening around the campfire so we didn't have to rush home. Sunday was spent socializing, relaxing and playing inside as it rained for most of the day. We came home late that evening with three very tired children.
Ready for the hay ride!
Sitting with the cousins.
Grandma with the newest grandchild.
Grandpa spending time with Bethany.
The Lord willing, next year, we hope to book Campfire! for a weekend to celebrate my parent's 45th Wedding Anniversary. What a blessing it is every year again to witness the faithfulness of the Lord in our family's life!
