Anna's Kindergarten Open House & Strawberry Picking
Anna's class held an Open House for all the parents, grandparents and others that were interested, this past week Thursday. It was kind of like their graduation even though they have one more day of school. It was a really cute program; it sure made me realize how grown up Anna has become. They sang and then each had a turn to tell the audience what they wanted to be when they grew up.

We are quite happy that next year they have decided to keep the Kindergarten class split and so have two grade one classes. That means that Anna will have only fifteen in her class as opposed to thirty.
This morning we decided to go strawberry picking as before you know they'll be gone. Well, we weren't disappointed! We picked about fifteen quarts in half an hour. They were just the right size and sweet and juicy. When we got home we had strawberries with sugar on toast and for dessert after supper we had ice cream and strawberries. I think we've had our fill for today, but there's still lots more to make into jam and put in the freezer. I hope to do that on Monday as I was too tired to begin that task today. I like to make the cooked jam as it's so much more convenient when you need it. Bethany had a blast in the patch and ate enough to fill her little tummy for lunch. She always copies the girls and so had to have her own basket and pick just like them. What a cutie she is right now!

Anna being our hard worker; she picked three quarts on her own with not a single bad one in the basket.
