An Old-Fashioned Crisp, Winter Day
Today was one of those perfectly good ole' winter days. The sun was shining brightly and the temperature was dipping to about -15 degrees. It was the type of cold where every step you took produced a nice, crisp squeaking sound. Colin took the opportunity to build the girls a block snow house and then attempted to clear some more of the rink with the tractor. That didn't last too long as one wheel got stuck on the other side of the boards and well, our poor tractor is now really stuck. We're thankful that a farmer from the church lives close by and is willing to give us a hand when we need it. He usually greets us by saying something like, "Oh, you city slickers, will you ever learn?" It's all in jest as Colin usually gets him back by saying something like, "Well then, have you ever tried to do your own taxes (he happens to be a client of Colin's)?" :)
So another adventure on our 'farm' that will bring some good laughs in the future. The result was some good exercise for me clearing the rink the old fashioned way - with a shovel!
Really stuck!
Bethany skating towards a snow bank to slow herself down :)
Fort M....... - indomitable! (Will fight if challenged...)
Sentry One on the lookout.
Sentry Two being lax on the job.
