Hot, hot summer!

The last few weeks have been very hot here, so hot in fact that we went to the beach two Saturdays in a row! Seeing as the beach is not next door around here, that's quite a bit. It's just so worth the hour to hour and half drive to get there. Both times we were accompanied by friends (different ones each time) and both times we tried out a different beach. The first time we went to Kincardine on Lake Huron and the second time we went to Wasaga Beach on Georgian Bay. Lake Huron was freezing cold...but the water clean and refreshing. Georgian Bay was much warmer and shallower but not as clean. We're slowly narrowing down our favourite beaches :)

Since we are soon to be on our trip, we thought we would celebrate Colin and Eden's birthdays together. Last night we had cupcakes and presents for both!

We had four presents for Colin, so each of the kids took a turn giving him a gift. Silas gave him sunglasses.

Bethany gave him a wallet.

Anna gave him a t-shirt (which she is hiding under her shirt).

Naomi gave him a pair of flip-flops. Here they are sharing a joke of some sort....
