Family Day Fun

Our family day was indeed filled with family fun time. In the morning we had a friend over from church with her four boys plus one of their friends. This gave us enough testosterone to get a hockey game started and soon we had our coats tossed to the side. Her oldest is quite a hockey player (15 yrs. old) and can easily out skate and shoot all of the adults, so we had our work cut out for us. The guys then had some fun snowmobiling and doing crazy stunts on the back of the toboggan that was being pulled. Great fun was had by all!
In the afternoon, my cousin and her husband and family came for some skating and snowmobiling fun as well. The weather was so beautiful, that we spent most of the afternoon outside and started a campfire to roast some 'tube steaks'. They sure go down well on a cold and sunny afternoon, even if they're a bit charred and smoky. The kids thought this was great and gave them a taste of summer. My cousin's children and ours are similar ages and always have so much fun together. All in all, it was a great day spent with friends and family in God's beautiful creation.

Finally, here's a video of Bethany pushing Avery around the ice in a lawn chair. They are only a few months apart in age, but Bethany had enough strength to push around Queen Avery!
